Cambusnethan Old & Morningside Parish Church

Sunday services are held in the Church at 11.30am

We celebrate the Lord's Supper on the 4th Sundays of February, June and October, as well as a joint communion service shared with our neighbouring congregation of Cambusnethan North on the first Sunday of the New Year and the Thursday evening before Easter Sunday. There are also occasional informal communions on Sunday evenings through the year.

The diary of Sunday morning services indicates the wide variety of themes,  activities and concerns of a busy parish church which aims to reflect Christ's Light for its local community and wider world.  In our preaching and teaching, we recognise the importance of the Bible as our main guide and compass in matters of belief and practical action. In sermons and reflections, the Minister takes passages from the Bible to bring out what is there -to direct and challenge our lives. He recognises also truth in a quote from Eugene Peterson: "Ministers think that people come to church to listen to sermons. They don't. They come to pray and to learn to pray."
